Volume 2 covers 168 butterfly species from the subfamily Satyrinae (in part), covering part of the tribe Satyrini, specifically the subtribes subtribes Eritina, Ragadiina, Lethina, Parargina. The book contains 24 colour plates: 15 plates show collection specimens including subspecies, type specimens
and many rarities; 9 plates with photographs of butterflies in nature and their habitats. The text covers a description of the imago and its genitalia, nomenclature, distribution, habitat. This is complemented by 15 b/w plates with 178 fgures of male genitalia of Chinese Satyrinae.
