About this product

These Grass Plot Samplers are designed for easy soil and root zone sampling and can be used to take multiple samples quickly whilst walking. Ideal for grassland research and also for use by horticulturists and park managers.

The Grass Plot Sampler consists of a steel auger pipe, collecting bucket and stick with steel handle. A sample is taken by inserting the auger pipe into the ground using the foot to push down on the collecting bucket. The sample is then pushed into the collecting bucket when the subsequent sample is taken.

Available with a 5cm, 7.5cm or 10cm long auger pipe. The 5cm version will collect 25ml samples with a maximum depth of 5cm. The 7.5cm version will collect 35ml samples with a maximum depth of 7.5cm. The 10cm version will collect 50ml samples with a maximum depth of 10cm. The collecting bucket on each of the samplers can hold three samples.
