Introduction to Plants in Central Somaliland provides an introduction to some of the common native and naturalised plants found in Central Somaliland. A brief discussion of its major environmental zones is followed by a photographic guide to the plants in three main geographic regions; the coastal plain, Golis mountains and the Hargeysa plateau. It has been designed for the non-specialist; technical terms are kept to a minimum and a glossary is provided.
Helen Pickering is affiliated to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in England. She has published three previous photographic guides to Wild Flowers: in Nicaragua, Oman and the Victoria Falls.
