This sturdy hand net is for routine aquatic sampling, field centre use and sampling of rivers and streams. The large 300 mm frame size is well suited for amphibian surveying and is also the standard kick net size for aquatic sampling in many European countries.

The net attaches to the frame via an inner stainless steel ring which is held in place using plastic brackets and fixing screws. This means that the back of the net collar is protected from abrasion when the net is used for kick sampling. The bags can also be easily changed for washing or replacement. Spare net bags are also available to purchase separately.

The frame is available in either wooden, aluminium or collapsible wooden sections.

The collapsible frames (available in two or three sections) have a wooden handle (British Ash) with sections joined using brass screw fittings, this enables the frame to be disassembled for easy transport. The net head is 300 mm in width and, when assembled, the entire frame measures 1.49 m in length. 

The handle of the wooden frames is made from ash wood which makes it comfortable to hold, even in cold and wet conditions. It will also float if dropped into water.

The two-part net frame breaks into sections of 79 cm when disassembled and the three-part net frame breaks into sections of 53 cm when disassembled.
