The OBS-104 compound microscope is ideal for anyone looking to get more serious with microscopy for a reasonable price. Binocular systems reduce eye strain and allow the user to more naturally interpret the image they are seeing, making longer sessions far more comfortable. The added expense of the extra ocular tube, however, can often render such microscopes out of the price range of those who aren't professionals or very serious hobbyists.
The OBS-104 combines a good quality finite optical system with twin 10x eye tubes, 4x, 10x, and 40x objectives, a dimmable light source and 1.25 Abbe condenser for an excellent optical experience. Magnifications of 40x, 100x, and 400x are moved between via a click-stop system while the transmitted illumination can be precisely controlled for the viewer's needs. The 0.5w LED provides a bright light with minimal heat output, helping to protect live samples or subjects that might be vulnerable to desiccation. The 30° angled eye tubes are ergonomically designed and have dioptre adjustments, enabling the user to match the image to their visual needs.
The OBS-104 can be used with mains or battery power meaning it can be used anywhere. It makes an ideal tool for improvers in microscopy, and for educational settings.
