About this product

The Motic B1 compound microscope series makes an ideal tool for educators and serious naturalists. The 10x/18 eyepiece and 4x, 10x, and 40x Semi-Plan Achromat objectives provide 40-400x magnification that can be modified with alternative lenses due to motic's modular design philosophy. The 18mm eyepieces provide clear, bright images and the coaxial coarse and fine focusing systems with tension adjustment allow for extremely precise work. The pre-installed 3W LED illumination with intesnsity control is ideal for viewing live or delicate specimens due to it's low heat output, and the mechanical stage allows the subject to be carefully positioned just right without the need to interact with the slide directly.

The B1 series can also be converted to use polarization, phase contrast, and darkfield contrast techniques using appropriate accessories (available separately). This is extremely useful when examinig transluscent subjects such as plankton and freshwater invertebrates.

Various accessories, such as phase contrast accessories, are available upon request. Please contact us at customer.services@nhbs.com if you would like any further information.
