About this book

Language: Chinese

This book brings together a group of experts in Ordovician (485-444 milliong years ago) stratigraphy and palaeontology research in China, covering palaeontology, biostratigraphy, petrostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy, chemical stratigraphy, event stratigraphy, quantitative stratigraphy, ecological stratigraphy, sedimentary science, sedimentary geochemistry and other disciplines. A total of 175 fossil plates are collected in this book, including 33 graptolites, 17 conodonts, 37 brachiopods, 19 trilobites, 25 cephalopods, 15 chitinoids, and 9 suspected sources, 8 radiolarians, 9 corals, and 3 foraminifera. Except for corals and stratoforaminae, which were mainly limited to the Late Ordovician, other phyla basically covered the entire Ordovician and formed a multi-phylum biostratigraphic sequence throughout the Ordovician from different perspectives of biological belts, biological communities, and biological assemblages.
