Most Threatening Invasive Species Identified
Scientists have identified the 66 alien species, not yet established in the EU, that pose the greatest threat to European biodiversity. The list include species such as the Rusty Crayfish, Striped Eel and Fox Squirrel.
 
Wildlife-friendly Artificial Islands
Five artificial islands have been created in the Netherlands to bring back wildlife to the area . The islands harboured 30,000 resting Starlings this year and over 120 species of plants have already been recorded.

A new list has been created of Evolutionarily Distinct Globally Endangered (EDGE) sharks and rays. This method highlights those at-risk species that have few or no remaining close relatives.
