About this book

Language: Italian with species descriptions and keys bilingual in English and Italian

This guide is a useful contribution to the knowledge of the ants of the Veneto region in northeastern Italy. In the first part of the text, ample general information is given on the family of Formicidae (about 15,000 species known in the world); thereafter, in the part dedicated to taxonomy (in Italian and English), there are the keys for identification and entries for each of the species surveyed to date in the Veneto region. The final appendix briefly illustrates techniques for collecting, studying and breeding these wonderful social insects.
