About this book

Language: Dutch

This is the first field guide to bumblebees of the Netherlands and Belgium. With their fuzzy appearance and friendly humming they are some of the best-known and most appreciated insects here. Their colourful appearance would make you think they are easy to identify, but that isn't always the case. This is the first Dutch-language guide that richly illustrates all species with photos and handsome drawings. The extensive introductory chapters give information on morphology, biology, biotope, threats, and protective measures. A detailed morphological table has been included for hard-to-identify species, and the book includes genital images for all species.
