About this product

We currently have 1x Ex-demo Wireless camera available at a discounted price. Its is in working order but itsd has been used and may have a couple of small cosmetic scratches on the plastic casing of the camera.

This wireless camera kit is perfect for observing birds building their nests and raising their young in your garden nest box.

The tiny colour camera transmits video to the small receiver which will plug directly into a TV or PC using the provided AV connectors. Alternatively the camera is available with a USB connector (Compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems) allowing you to connect the camera directly to your PC or laptop and record footage directly to your hard drive. The camera will transmit up to 30m in clear, uncluttered habitat. It will record in colour during the day and, using the invisible infrared LEDs, will record in black and white during the night or in any low light conditions. These infrared LEDs provide night vision for up to 1m from the camera - perfect for viewing in a small space and not so powerful that they bleach the background or disturb the animals. The camera has a wide-angle lens and adjustable focus which provides perfect viewing. Power to the camera is supplied via a three-metre mains cable and extensions are available.

The USB device package also includes advanced a free download of iSpy CCTV software, with advanced functionality including motion detection, scheduled recording and the possibility to export to the Cloud or YouTube. Compatible with x86 or 64-bit Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10. The Mac OSX USB capture device comes with software on a CD that allows editing and recording; it is compatible with versions OS X10.5.6 and later and does not include motion detection or scheduled recording.

Although the camera has a theoretical transmission range of up to 25 metres in clear line-of-sight, other wireless devices can cause interference, old lead paint and in some locations people experience unexplained interference from other wireless devices which can greatly reduce the transmission range.

Please note: although the connection between the camera and the receiver is wireless, the camera will still need to be plugged into a mains power source using the provided adapter.
