About this book

This bibliography reflects 30 years of research by the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in the form of articles published in journals and technical bulletins. Several indices were prepared to maximise the use of this bibliography: authors, subjects, species (scientific and vernacular names), and locations. The bibliography compiles articles published between 1985 and 2015 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of FRIM. A few additional titles published in the first two quarters of 2016 are also included as they became available. 30 Years of Research on Forestry & Forest Products is, by far the most complete listing of FRIM research outputs published as journal or technical bulletin articles. One will be able to identify the most prolific writers, the subjects researched the most, the species mainly studied, and the location of studies from this bibliography. Segmented into three sections, the How To Use Section describes briefly how to use the bibliography. The Index Section is divided into five parts: authors, subjects, species (scientific names), species (vernacular names), and locations. The Bibliography Section contains 1875 entries. Except for articles published as notes or in technical bulletins, more than 80 percent of the entries are accompanied by an abstract to provide better understanding of the subject matter.
