Bert Brunet has shared his enthusiasm and knowledge of insects through books, lectures, displays and instruction in schools. His articles and illustrations have been published in a number of journals, and in 1987 he won the Zoo Le Souef Memorial Award for his contribution to the field of amateur entomology. He is the author of The Silken Web and Spiderwatch, also published by New Holland.
