About this product

The wildlife tracking tags by Copernicus Technologies are an innovative new solution for studying a range of species of various sizes, both terrestrial and avian. Designed in Switzerland, these trackers have the backing of a dedicated team with lots of industry experience to draw from. Choosing from a 'Bull', 'Deer' Or 'Avian' type to fit your tracking needs you can accurately measure your tracking target with an accuracy of 2.5m using standard GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou) through a web portal that Copernicus themselves have created called IoT (Internet of Things) Wonderland. Devices are built to withstand the rigours of outdoor use thanks to a rugged IP67-rated housing.

Fully remotely configurable through a LoRaWAN network, you can configure your tracker settings to whatever your study requires and have the data always available through the IoT portal. Changes to ping frequency and other configurations made to the devices are executed via commands sent through IOT Wonderland. A full commands document is available here

Data streams from the devices all include GPS location data, temperature and battery level. The 'Bull' also comprises an accelerometer.

Battery life is calculated from when the devices are introduced to the network upon purchase and will continue to drain as the device pings the network. The 'Bull' tracker may be serviced for both the battery and neck strap and have its battery changed when needed, whereas the 'Deer' ear tag is a fully sealed unit and its lifespan is complete once the battery is consumed. The 'Avian' tag is solar-supplemented and so will remain powered for its continual use.
