ct. A flora treatment for the Papaveraceae occurring in Central Atfica (Democratic Republic ofthe Congo, Rwanda and Burundi) is given. In this region, the family is represented by only two native species in the genera Corydalis and Fumaria ocurring in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. Three more genera, each with one species (Argemone mexicana, Bocconia arborea, Eschscholzia californica), are introduced and naturalized. All five species are accompanied by colour photographs and three by a full line drawing.
