This fascicle deals with the family Passifloraceae, which is predominantly tropical family with 16 genera and approximately 500 species worldwide. It consists of two tribes, Paropsieae, which contains six genera worldwide, four of which occur in the flora area, and Passiflorae, which contains ten genera worldwide, four of which occur in the flora area.
