About this book

Language: English with bilingual summaries in English and French

This paper deals with the geological structure and the petrological evolution of Karisimbi, the highest volcano in the Virunga region, which is located on the borders of the DR Congo (formerly Zaire), Uganda, and Rwanda. The Karisimbi volcano is mainly situated in Rwanda, but also partly in the DR Congo. Although this volcano is one of the most voluminous of the Virunga, it has not been subjected to many studies.
