About this book

Language: Spanish

The Flora of Equatorial project continues, presenting the first of 3 volumes of Monocotyledons. Here a total of 232 taxa are included, comprising 15 families, from Bromeliaceae to Cyperaceae, following the classification proposed by Takhtajan in his Diversity and Classification of Flowering Plants (1997). The volume is very heterogeneous and derives its fundamental part of the doctoral thesis of Francisco Cabezas, carried out at the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid. Besides the usual flora's team Pedro Jimenez-Mejias and Alexandra C. Ley are involved as coauthors in the treatments of Marantaceae and Cyperaceae, respectively.
