About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish

The first edition of Árboles Rioplatenses was in published 1999 (with a reprint in 2004). Demand has remained high after this book sold out. For this second edition, much of the photography and scientific names were updated.

Árboles Rioplatenses is a bilingual edition that includes the most frequent native and naturalized tree species in the Paraná delta region, Martín García Island and the banks of La Plata, both in Argentina and Uruguay. Fifty species of trees are described, including their uses, geographical distribution, ecology, and scientific and common names (in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Guaraní). The texts and photographic material were prepared by an interdisciplinary group of specialists to offer a comprehensive vision of the arboreal flora of the River Plata region.
