Visual Prosthesis and Ophthalmic Devices facilitates the analysis and comparison of data from SAGE experiments in a correct and efficient way, as well as enables users inexperienced with SAGE and having only limited experience in standard molecular biology techniques to conduct SAGE experiments. The volume is comprised of two parts. The first is concerned with experimental procedures of SAGE and related methods, while the second focuses on the correct extraction and filtering of tags, analysis of digtag populations, and how to carry out statistically correct comparisons of gene expression profiles.
